Rhombica Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Rhombica is made by EvanMath. This explains what the game collects and why.
Playing offline
Single-player games need no account. Your saves and settings stay on your device. If you're signed in, a record of each game you finish is uploaded (see Game records below).
If you sign in with Google or Apple
Signing in lets you play online, add friends and back up your saves. We store:
- an account ID (Firebase Authentication), and the email address Google or Apple provides when you sign in (Apple lets you hide it)
- the profile name and built-in picture you choose (your Google photo is never used)
- a friend code, your friends list and game invites
- your online games and cloud copies of your save files
- records of the games you finish (see Game records)
This data is stored with Google Firebase and is only used to run the game's features (and, for game records, to improve the game).
Game records
To make the computer-controlled tribes play better, a record of each finished game (single-player or online) is uploaded to Google Firebase when you're signed in. It contains:
- what each tribe did each turn: research, units trained, buildings, attacks, captured cities, peace treaties and wars
- a summary of each tribe at the end of each turn (stars, score, cities, units) and the final state of the map
- the game settings, your device type (for example web, Windows or Android) and the game version
- your account ID, so the record can be deleted with your account
It doesn't contain your name, email address or picture. Game records are only used to study how games play out and improve the game, and are never shown to other players. If you finish a game while signed out or offline, up to 3 records wait on your device and are uploaded the next time you play while signed in. In an online game, one player's device uploads the record, and it includes every player's moves.
Website and game statistics
rhombica.com and the web version of the game use Google Analytics to count visits and see how the game is played, for example how many games are started or finished, which map types and tribes are picked, and when a weekly challenge is completed or a multiplayer game is joined. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. It doesn't receive your name or email address. We use it only to understand and improve the game. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or an ad blocker. See Google's privacy policy.
Purchases
There are no in-game purchases. If you buy Rhombica on Steam, Google Play or the Apple App Store, the store processes your payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your payment details.
What other players see
Your profile name, picture and friend code, and your moves in games you play with them.
Notifications
On phones the game can show local notifications when it's your turn online. These are created on your device; you can turn them off in Settings.
What we don't do
No ads, no selling your data, no tracking you across other apps, no access to your contacts, location or photos. (Website statistics are described above.)
Deleting your data
In the game, open Edit profile → Delete account. This deletes your account, friends, invites, cloud saves and the game records you uploaded, and removes you from online games. Saves stored only on your device are kept until you uninstall the game. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
Children
Signing in uses a Google or Apple account, which requires meeting their minimum age in your country. Offline play needs no personal information.
